Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support K-12 students in a school environment. This role is based in Ridgeland, SC, and is a contract position for the current school year (CSY).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering therapy services to students with speech or language impairments.
- Implement individualized treatment plans under supervision.
- Monitor and document student progress.
- Support classroom teachers with speech and language-related activities.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school policies and ethical guidelines.
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an SLPA, preferably in a K-12 school setting.
- Knowledge of speech and language disorders common in school-aged children.
- Ability to follow treatment plans and adapt to individual student needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid SLPA certification or licensure as required by state regulations.
